Setup
Installing Free Local Lite
Install the free, local AdsPlane connector on Windows — including the SmartScreen step on first run.
Free Local Lite runs entirely on your own Windows machine. Your Amazon credentials never leave your computer, analysis runs through the hosted engine on demand, and there is no live execution — it's a preview-and-learn tool. It's free, forever.
What you need
- Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)
- A signed-in account on adsplane.com
- About 250 MB of free disk space
Install steps
- Sign in at adsplane.com and open the dashboard.
- At the top you'll see a Download Local Lite card — click Download AdsPlaneLocalLiteSetup. The link is signed and short-lived, so don't share it.
- Run the installer. Windows SmartScreen may pause on the first run because the build isn't code-signed yet. Click More info → Run anyway to continue. This is expected for the free build and does not mean anything is wrong.
- Choose the install folder, or pick a per-user location if you don't have admin rights.
- Finish — let the installer launch Local Lite.
The connector starts in the background, the local UI opens at http://localhost:7531, and your browser launches automatically. Set up Amazon access, choose up to your allowlist of campaigns, and click Run analysis.
Why the SmartScreen warning appears
The Local Lite installer is not currently code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen shows a caution on first launch. Because Local Lite is a free product, we haven't purchased a code-signing certificate for it. The More info → Run anyway step is safe and only appears the first time.
Where your data lives
- Encrypted vault (Amazon refresh token, Telegram bot token):
%LOCALAPPDATA%\AdsPlane\connector\vault.dat - Bundles + analysis results:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\AdsPlane\connector\state\
Uninstalling removes the program files but keeps your vault and results, so a
reinstall preserves your encrypted credentials. To wipe everything, delete
%LOCALAPPDATA%\AdsPlane\ manually after uninstalling.
Updating
When a new version is published, the dashboard shows the new version number. Download and run the new installer — it updates in place and preserves your vault and results.
